Innovative infrared dryer Research, Inc., an industry leader in the design, development, and manufacture of electric infrared heating components and integrated heating systems, recently introduced a new infrared DryIR® Model 6030. The DryIR® Model 6030 concentrates infrared heat directly to the desired area, resulting in immediate evaporation. Designed for drying applications that require a clean, responsive, non-contact heat source on target areas up to 4 inches wide, the DryIR® Model 6030 is ideal for water-based and solvent-based drying, as well as adhesive curing. The infrared energy emitted from the heater can be adjusted to match specific heating requirements for a variety of applications, thus providing a clean and efficient heat source that does not contact the product being heated. The heater's modular design allows for the units to be installed easily, in a variety of configurations. The aluminum construction of the DryIR® combined with the air-cooling allows the heater to withstand continuous high-temperature operation. An integral fan blows air past the lighted lamps, which results in heated air impinging on the target product surface. The hot air combined with the infrared energy produced by the quartz lamps produces extremely efficient drying. A digital power controller comes integrated with Models 6030.
