Electric helmets with fire and speed Miller Electric Manufacturing Co. recently introduced the Motorsports and Fire Storm designs to its Performance Series line of auto-darkening welding helmets. The Motorsports helmet features a yellow background accented with red and green tear-aways and checkered flag graphics on all four sides. The Fire Storm sports a black background with yellow and red flames along the front, sides and top. Other features include:
- Three arc sensors instead of two.
- Quick-release front cover lens holder, with a rubber spatter gasket and lens controls located at the bottom of the lens.
- Auto-On Mode to eliminate accidental arc flash, even if the helmet hasn't been used for an extended amount of time.
- Grind Mode to prevent the lens from darkening while grinding.
