TR51K Thread Restoring Kit

Jaw Manufacturing, the manufacturer of Matco's TR51K Thread Restoring Kit, offers this custom box that contains 3 thread restoring files: the new TR3 file which includes the 8 and 11 pitches, the TR1 and the TRM8 covering 8 metric pitches. With this kit, there are now 11 metric re-threading taps and 11 dies with 4 new pitches: 8 x 1.50mm, 10 x 1.00mm, 11 x 1.50mm and 14 x 1.50mm. These dies and taps can be used with regular sockets without the need of a special holder. The thread restoring taps, dies and files quickly clean up damaged threads and studs without cross-cutting or undercutting the threads like regular taps and dies would. Macto feels their files beat out the competition because they have a true milled cutting edge with a crosscut proportional to the pitch for easy filing.
