V3D Arago™ technology

Feb. 26, 2008
John Bean has unveiled their new V3D Arago™ technology in an effort to make theV3D Alignment Imaging technology on their alignment equipment faster and easier to use. The Arago enhancement uses digital cameras that automatically position themselves at the correct height for collecting alignment readings regardless of the lift's working height. Camera resolution and calibrations are accomplished by Arago™ DigiSmart™ software that requires no technician involvement. Previous units employed a fixed-height camera installation that required the technician to choose a particular lift working height within a fixed range, which could also vary depending on the wheelbase of the vehicle being aligned. V3D Arago™ technology uses cameras that automatically lock-in on the wheel targets as the lift is being raised or lowered. John Bean feels these enhancements help to speed-up the aligning process, while making the service easier for the technician performing it.
