digital camera-based alignment system

Feb. 26, 2008
Wheel alignment goes digital The Hunter digital camera-based alignment system combines the features of WinAlign alignment software and digital imaging alignment sensors to increase productivity and profitability. WinAlign contains a large vehicle information database, as well as power features to speed and simplify alignment. Digital camera sensors reduce downtime and provide a higher return on investment. A four-camera system projects a wide field of view to continuously monitor wheel target position and orientation over a range of alignment lift heights, eliminating the need for moving cameras. Passive sensor targets are lightweight and durable. They require no calibration and have no electronics, batteries or cables. Impact-resistant housing provides added protection, and the shatterproof aluminum faceplate is corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free.
