Feb. 26, 2008

Available from Hobart Welding is the XTP Series of Auto-Darkening Welding Helmets with the option to choose from one of two stylish designs: the Patriot or the Red Rivet. The Patriot helmet incorporates a pattern of stars with tattered patches of red and white, highlighted by an underlying deep blue finish. The Red Rivet helmet is illustrated by industrial elements and mechanical inspiration, with an airbrushed 3D faceplate, and detailed bolts, rivets, mesh and more. Both helmets offer:

  • An adjustable, solar-assisted auto-darkening lens, which darkens in 1/16,000 of a second after arc start.
  • Lens sensitivity and delay controls.
  • 2 independent arc sensors to provide continuous arc-sensing capabilities.
  • A 3.81" x 1.85" viewing area.
  • 5 external and 2 internal protective lens covers.
  • Ratchet-style headgear that adjusts for size and absorbs odor with a CoolMax® sweatband.
  • High performance. According to the company, the helmets are perfect for the sensitive demands of low-amp TIG applications.
  • A durable, yet lightweight design, weighing in at 11 oz.
  • An easy-to-replace lithium battery with a 2,000-hour life while MIG welding without recharging the battery.
  • Compliance with ANSI, CSA and CE safety standards.
  • Coverage by a 2-year warranty.
