The new offering, announced at the 2015 NAFA Institute & Expo, will provide field service fleet organizations with a scalable mobile solution that combines telematics and fleet management with dynamic data capture and real-time scheduling.

At the 2015 NAFA Institute & Expo, Retriever Communications, a global provider of mobile workforce automation, announced a collaboration with LoJack Corporation, a provider of vehicle theft recovery and advanced fleet management solutions, to launch a new mobile field service management platform. The new offering will provide field service fleet organizations with a scalable mobile solution that combines telematics and fleet management with dynamic data capture and real-time scheduling.

"Until now, the enterprise didn't have access to a comprehensive mobility solution that can combine wide-ranging mobile workflow functionality with specialized fleet management and telematics," said Mary Brittain-White, CEO, Retriever Communications. "But now, thanks to this relationship between Retriever and LoJack Corporation, field service enterprises can optimize their field force by implementing an end-to-end solution for sending and receiving data, managing and tracking field workers and commercial fleet vehicles."

Unlike competing single-function solutions, Retriever's Barking Application Suite and LoJack Fleet Management powered by TomTom create a comprehensive mobile workforce platform that:

  • Creates a new standard for the field service market by offering a complete and connected mobile force ecosystem

  • Caters to a variety of operational needs, from simple to complex dynamic workflows

  • Allows for fleet operators to work offline

  • Offers complete visibility and transparency into field activity

  • Protects vehicles from unauthorized use

  • Increases safety for field technicians on the road and on the job

The collaboration between Retriever and LoJack offers a holistic IT approach to field service and improves cost savings by:

  • Streamlining internal business processes by going paperless

  • Increasing transparency and accountability of a mobile workforce to improve fuel usage for vehicles, automate work order management and improve driver safety

"We are excited about the opportunity to deliver impactful business workflow and fleet management capabilities to our customers," said Randy Ortiz, president and CEO, LoJack. "The integration of LoJack Fleet Management powered by TomTom with Retriever Communications' Barking applications will give field service operators a powerful end-to-end solution that will efficiently streamline business operations and manage their fleet from any location."

The new offering will allow new and existing Retriever customers to integrate a complete fleet management solution into overall field service program.
