Auto Care Association to reveal first State of the Auto Care Industry Report

At the inaugural Industry Forum in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, April 29, the Auto Care Association will unveil the first State of the Auto Care Industry Report.

Marcus Jadotte, assistant secretary of commerce for industry and analysis for the international trade administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, will keynote the Auto Care Association’s inaugural State of the Auto Care Industry Forum at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, April 29. At the event, the association will unveil its first-ever annual State of the Auto Care Industry Report, and feature presentations by executives from Google, UPS, IHS and AAA with an appearance by famed NASCAR driver and team owner, Michael Waltrip.

“The unique insight and perspectives of our guest speakers on their respective businesses within the auto care industry will reinforce information, trends and projections that will be reported by our association,” said Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO, Auto Care Association.

VIP presenters include:

  • Nicolle Pillartz, Head of Industry, Automotive, Google
  • Camille Kielty, President, Enterprise Automotive and Industrial Sales, UPS
  • John Nielsen, Managing Director, Automotive Engineering, AAA
  • Mark Seng, Global Aftermarket Practice Leader, IHS Automotive

Two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip will make opening remarks about the role of the auto care industry in motor sports.

The forum will follow a Congressional briefing on the auto care industry hosted by Rep. Robert Pittenger, R-N.C., in the Cannon House Office Building on April 28, and a special Congressional reception in the Rayburn House Office Building hosted by the association. Waltrip will make remarks at the briefing, and will take photographs and sign autographs at the reception.
