Stertil B.V. Awarded Canadian patent for ECOLIFT Heavy Duty Scissor Lift

This patent documentation, entitled “Device and System for Lifting a Motor Vehicle,” gives Stertil the exclusive rights to the manufacture, use and sale of the claimed lifts in Canada until May 17, 2025.

Stertil-Koni USA is pleased to announce that its parent company, Stertil B.V., has been awarded Canadian patent 2,567,386 (“the ‘386 Patent”) on March 17, 2015, which is directed to lifts for motor vehicles.

This patent documentation, entitled “Device and System for Lifting a Motor Vehicle,” gives Stertil the exclusive rights to the manufacture, use and sale of the claimed lifts in Canada until May 17, 2025.

Canadian patent 2,567,386 is for the company’s innovative ECOLIFT heavy duty scissor lift.  The ‘386 patent will cover the ECOLIFT system, including the combination of the scissor mechanism, carriage, cover and other parts. 

Stertil-Koni was previously awarded two United States patents for the ECOLIFT. 

  • On June 5, 2012, Stertil-Koni was awarded U.S.  Patent 8,191,865, which first covered the ECOLIFT, including the combination of the scissor mechanism, carriage, cover, and other parts.
  • On September 3, 2013, Stertil-Koni was awarded U.S. Patent 8,523,146 B2, for its innovative shallow pit, heavy duty scissor lift, ECOLIFT, issued from the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).  This patent covers the advanced process by which the Stertil-Koni ECOLIFT utilizes a shallow pit scissor lift to raise vehicles.
