At Omnitracs Outlook 2015, Roadnet Technologies, the Omnitracs company specializing in transportation logistics software, announced the expansion of its Roadnet Telematics offering to provide tight integration into its routing, dispatching, proof of delivery and new Insight analytics solutions. By integrating telematics more closely into the broader platform, customers can achieve new levels of visibility as well as the ability to more dynamically assess and make adjustments to their fleets, thus improving fleet safety and operational efficiency.

“Since joining with Omnitracs we have endeavored to address an even wider range of our customers’ needs. With this release, Roadnet customers have access to an even more comprehensive and integrated mobile fleet management platform, which supports a wide array of hand-held proof of delivery devices, basic tracking devices and telematics devices, each delivering information via a consolidated user interface,” said Kevin Haugh, vice president and general manager of Roadnet Technologies. “The ability to combine routing and dispatching with telematics data allows fleet managers not only to orchestrate efficient route plans but also to see how drivers are performing against these plans, and, at the same time, monitor performance around behaviors such as  speeding, hard braking, rapid acceleration, idling and off-hours movement of the vehicle.”

The expanded Roadnet Telematics platform equips customers with actionable data in visual representations, allowing fleet managers to spot trends and problem areas. Having a clear view of this data in one integrated system enables managers to identify risky behaviors and provide proactive coaching before an accident occurs.

“The platform offers unique, analytical functionality so fleet managers have the ability to drill down into their data and related business applications in order to gather complete insights and identify root cause,” said Haugh.

“Our goal is to provide customers with the most flexible tools and insight needed to manage fleet operations in a simple and efficient manner,” said Cyndi Brandt, director of product marketing at Roadnet Technologies. “The new enhancements to Roadnet Telematics offer fleets one convenient platform that centralizes all of the data for better vehicle tracking and driver performance analysis, removing the hassle of switching between various applications.”
