Vehicle Repair Group continues to expand its editorial staff with the addition of assistant editor, Josh Smith

The latest addition is Josh Smith, who will serve as assistant editor for the three publications and for VehicleServicePros.com, the official website of PTEN, Fleet Maintenance and Professional Distributor.

The Vehicle Repair Group, which is comprised of Professional Tool & Equipment News (PTEN), Fleet Maintenance and Professional Distributor magazines, continues to grow its editorial staff.

The latest addition is Josh Smith, who will serve as assistant editor for the three publications and for VehicleServicePros.com, the official website of PTEN, Fleet Maintenance and Professional Distributor

Smith has cultivated his editing background while working in various positions in the newspaper industry. Throughout his journalism career, he has contributed to several print and digital publications as both a writer and photographer.

“Unlike many other publications, we continue to build our award-winning editorial staff,” says Larry M. Greenberger, group publisher for Cygnus Business Media’s Transportation Group, of which the Vehicle Repair Group is a part. “Our mission is to continuously bring to the market the vital information the readers of PTEN, Fleet Maintenance and Professional Distributor need to more effectively perform their duties and responsibilities.

Other editorial additions

Smith joins two others recent additions to the Vehicle Repair Group’s editorial staff: Mike Schmidt, managing editor, and Mattie Gorman, an assistant editor.

Schmidt has more than a decade of experience as a professional newspaper writer and editor. He has covered the automotive, manufacturing and healthcare industries for various trade publications. In addition, he has considerable experience in assisting with the design and production of various publications. He has also been involved in the construction and launch of multiple B2B websites, as well as developing and enhancing their online presence via social media.

Gorman has a diverse background that includes work on the editorial staffs of newspapers and a publishing house. She has also served as a submissions editor and proofreader for medical journals. Her work experience includes editing, layout and design, as well as publication of a handbook used by mental health professionals.
