Chicago Pneumatic launches three new air tools at SEMA

Nov. 7, 2014
The three new wrenches offer Chicago Pneumatic customers a complete solution for all their tooling requirements, according to CP vice president Luis Clement.

Chicago Pneumatic has launched three new air tools that enable technicians and vehicle service professionals to increase productivity in the workshop. The CP7748TL and CP7776 impact wrenches are comfortable and easy to use, while the ultra-compact 6.7" long CP7749 delivers the best power-to-weight ratio in its class, providing maximum efficiency in garages.

The CP7749 lightweight high-power 1/2" composite impact wrench delivers 955 ft/lbs of maximum torque in reverse, and weighs 3.95 lbs. As such, it is incredibly user-friendly and enables operators to easily work in difficult-to-access areas, according to the company.

In addition to power, the tool includes many ergonomic features. Only one hand is needed to control the power and the forward/reverse direction as it has an easy-to-use side-to-side forward/reverse system and a two-stage trigger combined with the speed regulator for operation control. This tool will work for technicians working on chassis, transmission, engine and exhaust applications.

The CP7748TL 1/2" composite torque limited impact wrench is a tool for everyday light vehicle tire-changing applications. The torque limited function enables efficient torque level control for each tire-change job, and enables users to easily snug bolts without overtightening, and therefore avoid the risk of over-torque and bolt damage. The operator must use a torque wrench to torque bolts to manufacturers' specifications.

The wrench is designed to provide a limited torque in forward position of 60 ft/lbs and 925 ft/lbs maximum torque in reverse. The forward/reverse switch is smooth and easy-to-use with only one setting position in both directions, and the tool features a contoured grip handle with thermoplastic rubber (TPR) to provide comfort for operators.

The CP7776 1" metal pneumatic impact wrench offers high power and durability for general mechanics and tire changing on heavy duty vehicles. Designed in response to customer demand for a wrench with an easy-to-hold pistol-style handle, the CP7776 series delivers high power with 1,770 ft/lbs of torque in reverse. The ergonomic forward/reverse regulator with three position power settings and a full-teasing trigger mean the wrench is exceptionally user-friendly. Additional features include a TPR grip, a rotating side handle and an angled-down exhaust that blows air away from the operator for comfort.

"With the launch of these three new wrenches, we can now offer our customers a complete solution for all their tooling requirements," says Luis Clement, Chicago Pneumatic Tools vice president. "At Chicago Pneumatic, we're dedicated to helping our customers improve their productivity, and they can continue to rely on our powerful and durable wrenches to enable them to carry out their day-to-day tasks more comfortably and efficiently."
