Detroit DT12 automated manual transmission now available in DD16-equipped Freightliner Cascadia Trucks

The Detroit DT12 automated manual transmission is now available in Detroit DD16-equipped Freightliner Cascadia sleeper and day cabs. This pairing is ideally suited for heavier weight applications and now allows the DT12 to cover all horsepower and torque ratings available from Detroit engines.

All DT12 transmissions mated to DD16 engines will also have a dual-plate clutch to channel the big-bore power of this workhorse engine.

These DT12 ratings will only be available with overdrive gearing, however users will still see the same great features such as Creep Mode for low-speed
maneuverability, eCoast for efficient cruising and Skip Shift for smooth acceleration.
