Honda recalls 2014 Acura RLX vehicles

American Honda Motor Co. is recalling certain model year 2014 Acura RLX vehicles manufactured Aug. 7, 2012, through Nov. 5, 2013, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The bolts that attach the rear lower control arms to the sub-frame of the vehicle may have loosened during transport to dealerships.

Loose rear lower control arm bolts may reduce steering ability, increasing the risk of a crash.

Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear suspension lower control arm bolts, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in early January 2014. Customers may contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009. Honda's number for this recall is JD0.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
