One of the most anticipated products in NAFA’s history will be under the spotlight during the Third Annual International Fleet Academy.

One of the most anticipated products in NAFA’s history will be under the spotlight during the Third Annual International Fleet Academy.  The three-day conference, designed specifically to meet the needs of those who manage fleets of vehicles outside of the United States and Canada, will take place October 21-23, 2013 at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson, AZ.  Every attendee will receive a copy of NAFA’s new Global Fleet Guide, an invaluable resource for global fleet managers.

“The Global Fleet Guide has been in development for two years,” said NAFA’s Executive Director Phillip E. Russo, CAE.   “The fleet industry has been awaiting its release ever since word first got out about the project.  For many corporate fleet managers, the business landscape is changing; borders are disappearing and each new market brings new challenges.  This guide is the first of its kind to dig deep into the various scenarios that await global fleet managers.”

Created through hundreds of volunteer hours, with the input of 24 highly-skilled and well-respected fleet professionals from all over the world, NAFA's Global Fleet Guide investigates every aspect of a global fleet administrator's international duties, including:

  • A discussion on regional differences
  • Global fleet and organizational strategy
  • Selecting, utilizing, and replacing vehicles in a global fleet
  • Acquiring and financing global fleets and determining total cost of ownership for vehicles
  • Managing global fleet risk
  • Developing a global fuel strategy
  • Understanding the international aspects of business law, contract law, and tort law
  • Developing an emergency plan that factors in countries dealing with challenges of instability, and much more!

Attendees to NAFA’s International Fleet Academy will receive the Global Fleet Guide along with other value-added educational items to take back to the office including a ready-to-use executive summary; free subscription to International Fleet World magazine; and valuable checklists for policies, RFIs, and RFQs. All total, it’s a resource package valued at $2,500 – well worth the registration costs alone.

NAFA’s Global Fleet Guide will be available at a special introductory price of $79 for the next two weeks for NAFA Members.  Non-Members can purchase the guide for $139.  Starting October 25, the price will be $99 for NAFA Members.

"NAFA has always strived to be on the cutting-edge of fleet management education," continued Russo. "Global fleet management is the great unknown right now.  It’s exciting to be releasing this important guide during the International Fleet Academy.  The guide is a great way to bring back all of the valuable education learned during the conference."
