Contest gives Coats customers chance to win shop makeover

Sept. 13, 2013
Coats customers must submit video testimonials to be entered for a chance to win the $30,000 prize.

Hennessy Industries, Inc., manufacturer of Coats wheel servicing equipment, is launching the "Lights, Camera, Coatscontest in an effort to encourage customers to send video testimonials about why they trust the brand for wheel servicing needs.

The contest, which opened on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and closes on Wednesday, Oct. 23, will award one Coats customer with an Extreme Shop Makeover. The grand-prize package, which is valued at more than $30,000, includes a new Coats tire changer, wheel balancer, an Ammco brake lathe and a BaseLine by Coats auto lift, as well as a fully stocked floor rack of BADA wheel weights. The grand-prize winner will also be offered a trip to 2013 SEMA, where the winner will be announced, and the winning video will be featured on AmmCoats' website and YouTube channel.

"This is going to be a fun contest for our customers with a significant grand prize," said Kevin Keefe, Hennessy Industries' vice president of marketing. "Our customers are already using Coats products on a daily basis, so pulling out their smartphones and shooting a quick video to tell us why they trust our products should be quick and easy."

Video submissions for the contest will be limited to 45 seconds, in which time customers can deliver a testimonial in any manner they choose, as long as they are shown standing next to a piece of Coats equipment.

"With the exception of a few parameters, such as the time limit, we want customers to be as creative as they want," said Keefe. "We have an internal panel of voters who will determine the grand-prize winner based on factors such as content, quality and creativity."

Everyone who participates in the contest will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win the runner-up prize, which is a new Coats wheel balancer.
