May 7, 2013
Conference to focus on technological evolution in auto maintenance.

The calendar for Autopromotec EDU, 2013, to be held May 22 to 26 in Bologna, Italy, is now online with previews and international news.

The schedule of meetings will be opened by the usual appointment with the inaugural conference entitled "Technological evolution in automotive maintenance: impact on the workshops of the future," which will provide an update on the dynamics of car repairs in Italy, and the GIPA Excellence Awards, the ceremony which acknowledges the individuals and businesses that have particularly distinguished themselves in the aftermarket world.

A focus on internationalism will be one of the core assets of Autopromotec EDU: the 'International Automotive Aftermarket Meeting (IAAM13), a high-profile conference, will be held on the Thursday morning, with the participation of experts and international market operators, and will provide a preview of trends and developments in the aftermarket industry in Europe compared to those in some strategic countries such as the BRICs.

On Wednesday morning Autopromotec will be presented during the press conference dedicated to the foreign media which will be followed in the afternoon by two meetings on the markets in Turkey and the U.S., with opportunities to analyse the business opportunities in these countries. The aftermarket sector associations will analyze issues related to their areas of specialization, while the technical workshops organized by the Democenter-Sipe Foundation (Service Centre for technological innovation and diffusion - faculty of engineering "Enzo Ferrari" in Modena) will provide in-depth studies on specific topics.

Two new segments will also be included this time in Autopromotec EDU, the regeneration processes, with a conference on Friday, and the truck world with a symposium discussion comparing innovative dual-fuel diesel systems for heavy vehicle diesel engines on  Saturday. The attractions for trade visitors on Saturday morning also include the meeting on "car repair innovation route," a discussion with three operators who have improved workshop processes, while on Friday afternoon a discussion will be held on new web based business opportunities with case histories.

The area reserved to Autopromotec EDU is located in Hall 30; no registration is required
to attend the conferences, except for the IAAM13 conference where visitors subscribe in the "visitors" section of the Autopromotec website (www.autopromotec.it).
