Chain rolls out PowerVue to fleet of 400 trucks.

Cadec Global, which provides enterprise-class fleet management solutions, announced that Gemini Motor Transport, sister company to Love's Travel Stops, has chosen Cadec's PowerVue Enterprise solution. Gemini selected Cadec's PowerVue due to its ease of use, powerful dashboard reporting and Cadec's established partnerships with third-party software vendors such as Telapoint and TouchStar.

Cadec's PowerVue is the most modern and flexible SaaS-based fleet management solution, providing all of its fleet management features in a single, easy-to-use, secure and reliable SaaS platform with in-cab hardware designed specifically for the enterprise-class customer.

In addition to using PowerVue to track valuable data for regulatory compliance (EOBR and IFTA) and on-time deliveries, Gemini will leverage it to measure driver behavior, such as idling and sudden decelerations, to improve safety and save fuel. The company will also implement Cadec's eDVIR solution, which enables drivers to complete paperless inspection reports that are compliant with FMCSA regulations and SpeedTracker, which provides speed-by-road segment data to track driver behavior against established speed limits.

Another important element of their decision was the Performance Management capabilities built in to the PowerVue solution. Gemini will be able to create its own dashboards and balanced scorecards to allow them to manage by exception and be proactive based on predictive analysis. Leveraging these performance management tools will enable the company to better monitor driver and vehicle behavior and promote behavior improvement through internal incentive programs.

"We're very excited about our implementation of PowerVue," said Brent Bergevin, director of transportation for Gemini. "It's simple for our drivers to use, and seamlessly integrates critical driver and fleet performance data in real-time to our back-end system for our fleet managers to review. We can easily review Performance Management Scorecards and access reports that give our managers the information they need to make smarter decisions about fleet allocation to deliver reliable, on-time service to our sites. Additionally, Cadec's partnerships with Telapoint and TouchStar made it possible for us to seamlessly interact with those supply-chain applications and provide intuitive workflows to the driver."

"This is a company that is committed to using the latest technology to understand driver and vehicle performance in real-time and extend the supply chain right to their cabs," said Pete Allen CEO of Cadec. "We're excited to work with Gemini as they implement PowerVue across their entire fleet and integrate real-time fleet data with other critical enterprise applications."
