Peak Commercial and Industrial unveils new test strips for heavy duty antifreeze

The process is as easy as obtaining a coolant sample, dipping the test strip in for three seconds and matching the inhibitor to the color chart provided that guides follow-up maintenance recommendations.

For more than 40 years, Old World Industries has been involved in automotive, trucking, mining, construction, agricultural and other industries developing a deeper understanding of how critical it is to keep equipment running. With a history of industry innovation and patented technology, the company's PEAK Commercial & Industrial unit focuses on continuing to produce advanced and trusted products that prove themselves over the long haul. Backed by new branding, packaging and online resources, the company is solidifying its leadership position in functional fluids for the commercial and industrial sectors.

One flagship product in this group is Final Charge Global Extended Life Coolant, which solves the challenge of maintaining the proper inhibitor levels when the vehicle is on the road 98 percent of the time and the ability to control what coolant technology is used for top-off is limited. Peak Commercial & Industrial is unveiling new Final Charge test strips. These new test strips:

  • Measures the organic acid
  • Are not affected by conventional inhibitors such as silicate, borate, nitrate, molybdate, phosphate

The process is as easy as obtaining a coolant sample, dipping the test strip in for three seconds and matching the inhibitor to the color chart provided that guides follow-up maintenance recommendations. Kits are available with and without a refractometer.

Peak Commercial and Industrial is also offering a one million mile guarantee on Final Charge coolant.

"We all know that high-performing, fully functioning equipment is essential to success and it's critical to have a resource for the best functional fluids to keep those machines running," said Dr. Frank Cook, Senior Vice President of New Product Development at Old World Industries.  "We know that this product will last for at least one million miles and we're backing it up with a guarantee."

The patented inhibitor system used in Final Charge coolant is formulated with Contamination Tolerant Additives (CTAs) and is fully compatible with all coolant technologies. Conventional coolants require the costly addition of SCAs approximately every 25,000 miles to replenish depleting inhibitor levels, while FINAL CHARGE coolant's Organic Acid Technology (OAT) formula eliminates the need for Supplemental Coolant Additives (SCA), saving time and money.

However, not all heavy-duty OAT formulas are the same. Developed through the evaluation of thousands of possible organic corrosion inhibitor combinations, Final Charge coolant's unique (NON 2-EH) formula addresses the world's diverse coolant requirements without using inhibitors that have problems in any country in the world. With Final Charge, fleet managers and maintenance professionals can inventory one coolant for an entire fleet.

The Final Charge Global Extended Life Coolant program has been tested and proven to meet major engine manufacturer requirements. This is a true testimonial to more than 15 years of research, fleet and dynamometer testing and practical application with more than ten billion miles of performance in engines including Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, International, MTU, Mercedes, Hino, John Deere, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Nissan Diesel.
