Agero and XSe partner on in-vehicle infotainment solutions

Agero Connected Services and XSe, developers of future technologies in the field of embedded systems, announced a strategic partnership to develop a unique, automotive-quality, connected reference platform for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems.

"We will integrate our software stack, optimized for connectivity to the outside world, with our operating system to provide the best performing solution in the market and enable Agero to deliver a new kind of user experience in IVI," said Rainer Oder, managing director of XSe. IVI is a rapidly growing market that combines a wide range of elements essential to a progressive and enjoyable automotive environment, including access to music, news, Internet, multimedia, navigation and phone communications. The Agero-XSe partnership leverages their combined automotive knowledge and expertise to offer motorists a personalized and satisfying IVI experience.

Agero specializes in the development of cloud-based in-vehicle services spanning safety, security, data/diagnostics, location-based content, navigation and lifestyle. XSe, based in Villingen, Germany and with a U.S. office in Detroit, specializes in providing hardware and software solutions integrated into the electronics architecture of vehicles. Its OPTstack operating system is unique performance, flexibility and optimization for the underlying hardware in the system. OPTstack is supported on 14 different System-on-Chip (SoC) designs including both Intel and ARM architectures.
