Peterbilt is now producing the new Model 579. The 579 features aerodynamic styling that is optimized for superior fuel efficiency and an interior that down to its last detail facilitates operator comfort and productivity. "This is truly a historic occasion for our Peterbilt Denton production team," said Bill Kozek, Peterbilt General Manager and PACCAR Vice President.

The new 2.1 meter aluminum cab is solid and durable, with the highest quality fit and finish. Available in a day cab, or with detachable sleeper, the Model 579 combines versatility and longevity of a second life for a high resale value. And, with the integrated PACCAR MX 12.9 liter engine, Model 579 customers benefit from a total vehicle solution that is designed for their operational needs.

"After years of research, product development, capital investments, customer input, and vehicle testing, this final result is a combination of total performance innovation and highest quality," said Kozek. "This vehicle is truly one that delivers confidence and efficiency for bottom-line driven companies."
