Nominations open for APRA Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year

July 16, 2012
Award will be presented to a remanufacturer who has demonstrated leadership and vision in the industry.

A highlight of the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group Summit to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 21, 2013 will be a luncheon featuring the annual "Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year" Award. This award will be presented to a remanufacturer who has demonstrated leadership and vision in the industry. A committee will make the selection from among those nominated. Nominations may be directed to the attention of Bill Gager, President of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) in Chantilly, Virginia.

The winner of the Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year Award will join the past winners who are Precision Rebuilders, St. Clair, Missouri, Weller Truck Parts, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Meritor, Plainfield, Indiana, Camerota Truck Parts, Enfield, Connecticut and Transaxle, Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

"Seven years ago the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG) was formed to further the interests of the heavy duty remanufacturer members of APRA," Gager said. "Both APRA and HDRG have benefited from numerous hard working individuals who have helped in the creation of this group and we are more than pleased to be able to recognize one of them at our luncheon in 2013."

Gager pointed out that a high percentage of APRA members participate in the heavy duty marketplace and what better way to recognize this fact than by initiating an annual "Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year" award. The registration fee for the HDRG Summit will include admittance to the luncheon.

"We hope all heavy duty remanufacturers will show their support of the HDRG and understand the importance the heavy duty commercial vehicle business plays in the total remanufacturing marketplace," Gager said. The HDRG Summit always takes place right before the opening of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) which will be January 21-24, 2013 at The Mirage Hotel.

HDAW is an industry driven week of meetings, conferences and a trade show to centralize the industry's events in one place at one time. Most top executives of major component suppliers will be in attendance. HDAW week provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to network with their peers in the business. The HDRG Summit will feature a forward looking program of leading industry figures discussing the future technologies facing the remanufacturer of tomorrow.
