Highway Service Ventures/Patriot Farms Flying J joins on-highway network.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has added a new member to its UNI-MAXX TRUCK CARE on-highway service network: Ashland, Va.-based Highway Service Ventures/Patriot Farms Flying J.

Three Highway Service Ventures/Patriot Farms Flying J locations – one in Ruther Glen, Va., another in Elkton, Md., and a third in Florence, S.C. – are now part of the UNI-MAXX TRUCK CARE network, which Goodyear unveiled this past summer.

All three locations are on Interstate 95, a major north-to-south corridor that runs from Maine to Florida. (Specifically, the Ruther Glen store is at exit 104, the Elkton store is at exit 109A, and the Florence store is at exit 169.)

Other UNI-MAXX TRUCK CARE network members include Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems LLC., a Goodyear subsidiary, and Boss Truck Shops Inc., a subsidiary of Bosselman Inc., which participate through their on-highway Wingfoot Truck Care Centers and Boss Shops locations, respectively.

The addition of the three Highway Service Ventures/Patriot Farms Flying J outlets gives the UNI-MAXX TRUCK CARE network 75 locations, according to Clint Schrock, Goodyear’s director of on-highway operations.

“We are extremely pleased that Highway Service Ventures has chosen to align itself with UNI-MAXX and Goodyear,” said Schrock. “UNI-MAXX is dedicated to establishing a seamless, nationwide network of on-highway truck service shops that provide consistent products and services with the utmost professionalism. Highway Service Ventures shares this vision, and with its longstanding track record of consistency and excellence, is a perfect fit for the UNI-MAXX network.”

“Over-the-road trucking fleets and owner-operators tell us there is a strong need in the marketplace for a single-source supplier that can deliver the latest in products and services, including roadside truck assistance, warranty support, and more -- all in a consistent, professional manner,” said Roger Cole, president of Highway Service Ventures. “UNI-MAXX offers all of these important things, and we look forward to cultivating a rewarding relationship with this exciting new network.”
