Michigan shop owner develops company to manufacture a telematics user interface after testing Delphi's system.

Jim Dykstra has formed a company that makes a user interface for Delphi's telematics system.

Jim Dykstra, who operates a service repair shop in Troy, Mich., co-presented the telematics seminar at the recent AAPEX show in Las Vegas after having worked with Delphi Product & Service Solutions' telematics system. Interviewed by Elliot Maras, editor of Professional Tool & Equipment News, Dykstra explains his relationship with Delphi, manufacturer of the telematics system, which enables sending, receiving and storing information via telecommunication devices in conjunction with affecting control on remote objects.
