The Kenworth T880 Day Cab, its flagship vocational truck, can now be specified with a factory-installed Cummins Westport ISX12 G 400hp natural gas engine.

Generating 14,500 ft/lbs or torque, the engine is available with a manual, automatic or Eaton UltraShift Plus transmission.

The natural gas option for the T880 is well-suited for dump, mixers, refuse and pickup  and delivery vehicles operating up to 80,000 lbs gross combined vehicle weight.

The engine can run on CNG or LNG fuel systems, and it uses a maintenance-free, three-way catalyst. It does not require diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), a diesel particular filter (DPF) or selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology.

The Kenworth T880 comes in day cab and 52" mid-roof sleeper configurations.

The T880 entered full production in late 2013.
