Women-owned Deerfield trucking company wins state award

BCP Transportation, in Deerfield, Wisc., was one of five businesses honored at the Marketplace 2013 Governor's Conference on Minority Business Development in Milwaukee.

BCP Transportation, Deerfield, a trucking company that serves customers nationwide, was one of five businesses honored at the Marketplace 2013 Governor's Conference on Minority Business Development in Milwaukee on Wednesday.

BCP is 60 percent women-owned. Founded in 2011, BCP received the Rising Star award, for companies in business for four years or less, from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.

The other award winners are: Menominee Tribal Enterprises, Neopit; Belonger Corp., West Bend; Seek Careers/Staffing, Grafton; and Key Milwaukee, Mequon.
