Motorcyclist dies in crash with big rig

Driver of the big rig might have been unaware of the accident.

A motorcyclist died in a collision shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday  as the motorcycle collided with a tractor-trailer on the connector ramp from northbound Highway 99 to westbound Highway 120, according to authorities on the scene.

The investigation is continuing as authorities try to figure out how the collision occurred.

The truck involved is not at the scene, and authorities do not know if the driver was unaware of the collision or fled the scene.

California Highway Patrol believes that the driver of the 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was at fault. The tractor trailer was described as having a brown container by witnesses. If you may know any details about the accident please contact CHP at 1-800-TELL-CHP (1-800-835-5247).
