The organizers of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2013 have said this eighth annual event held was another success.
The business-to-business, executive conference is the largest North American gathering of the independent heavy duty aftermarket industry. It takes place each January in Las Vegas, NV.
More than 1,900 people, including executives and managers from distributors, suppliers and service providers, along with educators and industry media, from the U.S., Canada and six other countries, attended.
Sessions
The theme of HDAW 2013 was: Formula for Success - Focus on the Future. The general sessions keyed on the economy, how to build business for tomorrow and ways to successfully compete in an increasingly competitive market.
New this year was the addition of an optional program called SOLD (Service Opportunities and Learning Day). Developed specifically for shop owners and managers, it focused how the independent shop operator can modernize shop operations to better compete directly with truck dealers.
HDAW is presented by a joint operating committee of industry leaders from 13 industry associations: American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists (ACOFAS); Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS; Automotive Electric Association (AEA); Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN); HDA-Truck Pride; Heavy Duty Distribution Association (HDDA); Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA); APRA's Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG); International Truck Parts Association (ITPA); Overseas Automotive Council (OAC); Power Heavy Duty; Service Specialists Association (SSA); and VIPAR Heavy Duty.
