Fleet Maintenance Magazine recognized for editorial excellence

Receives TWNA Communication Awards

Fleet Maintenance Magazine has won several top honors in the eighth annual Truck Writers of North America (TWNA) Communication Awards program.

The awards program is a competition that recognizes excellence in trucking industry journalism in both the trade and the mainstream press, as well as excellence in communication by public relations professionals.

TWNA is an organization of professionals who are involved in gathering, writing and reporting news and information about trucks, trucking and the trucking industry.

The TWNA Communication Awards include categories for writing, graphics, broadcast, websites and internal communications, just to name a few. Virtually everything from feature articles, to press kits, to marketing brochures, to magazine redesigns, are all included in the scope of the program.

The awards earned by Fleet Maintenance Magazine and its editor, David A. Kolman, were:

• Bronze Award, Magazine Writing - Business, “Curtailing Theft,” April 2010 issue. • Gold Award, Magazine Writing - Company Profile, “Information Management,” March 2010 issue. • Best of Division Award, Magazine Writing - Company Profile, “Information Management, March 2010 issue.

The award program is administered by Elaine Haessner, co-founder of the International Automotive Media Awards. The entries are peer-judged against a thoroughly refined and tested standard scale.

Presentation of the TWNA Communication Awards are done at organization’s annual Industry Awards Banquet, held during the Mid-America Trucking Show.
