ATL Construction implements Dossier

ATL Construction of East Bridgewater, Mass., has selected Dossier software from Arsenault Associates to manage its diverse fleet of construction assets.

Arsenault Associates is the industry-leading provider of Dossier fleet maintenance management software and solutions.

ATL operates 16 trucks plus excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, Bobcats, and a variety of dump and flatbed trailers. Numerous snow-plowing contracts keep the ATL fleet working all year long.

According to Mark Denholm, ATL’s sales manager, the company decided to take an organized, proactive approach to maintaining its assets.

“We were band-aiding everything,” Denholm said. "We want to manage the fleet and make sure we’re getting the best utilization. We want to know which parts of the fleet need attention. We want to ascertain which units are costing more than they're worth.”

Once implemented, Dossier software can establish benchmarks, like cost-per-mile for vehicles and cost-per-hour for equipment, making it possible to assess the overall efficiency of any given asset.

Dossier can also pinpoint recurring repairs and part replacements on any given piece of equipment.

Thus, Dossier can uncover underlying problems and offer the data to help decide if a particular unit should be repaired and properly maintained or if it’s time to replace it.

Asked why ATL chose Dossier as opposed to another maintenance solution, Denholm said, “Because we can build on it.”
