Techno Tools Corp ., a U.S. manufacturer of hand held electronic diagnostic and test instrumentation, has announced that its D440A solid electrolyte semiconductor circuit and sensor refrigerant leak detection system was certified by an accredited independent test laboratory to comply with the new American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Halocarbon Refrigerant Leak Detector Standard 173-2012 on April 25, 2013.
