Combining their transmission industry knowledge with an end goal of helping their customers succeed, ATSG has expert techs who can provide over-the-phone diagnosis and repair guidance and an extensive Tech Library, including manuals, guides, videos and bulletins.

ATSG can be utilized for a one-time call, or as a membership service. Pay-Per-Case — at $75 per issue — allows a caller access to an ATSG Technical Consultant on a diagnosis, repair, replacement, or rebuilding question. Pay-Per-Case covers up to 10 calls over 30 days related to the case question.

"I was dealing with an older car 1998 Buick 4t65E. While I thought I was pretty versed in the operating system of this PCM, I was educated thoroughly by Al with regard to EPC amps and operation strategy. His patience and passion to correct the problem was probably the only way I would have been able to figure out that I purchased a defective EPC and had too much faith in the new part to condemn it. In addition to the call-per-case option, ATSG also offers a $75 per-month membership program that provides access to the company’s thousands of online technical resources. Subscribers can make unlimited calls to the ATSG hotline, which offers real-time live support in both English and Spanish. TechTrans manuals and other products from their bookstore are available to members with a 30 percent discount, along with reduced rates for their ATSG Live Virtual Seminars.

Joining ETE REMAN’s Authorized Repair Network and ATSG’s Advantage Warranty programs are also options at no extra charge.

Website refresh
 Working on a website launch at atsg.com, the company is aiming to improve ease of search functionality. Dropdown options on the homepage will help users quickly locate resources about specific transmission families. A call with a hotline technician can be initiated right from the member profile page. And the ATSG Tech Library will be available to help visitors find any resource they may need to complete a repair.  

Transmission training
In addition to repair and diagnostic guidance and their online technical resources, ATSG offers many ongoing training options, as well. The confirmed fix is a document that cites solutions for specific problems as found in the field in collaboration with techs. 

For more than 30 years, ATSG’s Technical Seminars ran in person in dozens of cities across the US and abroad. In our current more digital climate, ATGS has in its place launched its Live Virtual Seminar (LVS) in a 3-part series, the first of which kicks off April 24.

The educational seminars and accompanying seminar book set — the culmination of a year’s worth of research and development, confirmed fixes, and technical information — are designed to bring the best practices and practical solutions from the field to save a shop time, money, and frustration on transmission work.
