National Fleet Management opens North Carolina location

The new location has six bays and 100 rental spots for parking.

National Fleet Management's newest location had its official grand opening on May 1, 2018. The new shop, located at 3640 Reed Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, will be a "big upgrade" from their service truck that has been servicing the area for the last several years.

“Winston-Salem has been on our radar for some time, and we know we can service our customers better with a physical location there,” said company president  Bill Black.

The new location has six bays and 100 rental spots for parking.

Bill McKinney, branch manager, will start the new location with a first shift team, and plans to have a second shift by the third quarter of 2018.

The National Fleet Team says it's thrilled to be able to serve their customers from this new location.

President Black recently challenged his team to open ten new shops in the Carolinas in the next five years, and grand openings for two more locations are slated within the next calendar year. While the growth plans are aggressive, they will also be strategic.

“We will have to say ‘no’ to some projects,” Black says.

To prepare for this growth, National Fleet Management recently added some strong talent with decades of experience in the industry, the company says.

Tony Wilson, the new business development manager, joined the team in July 2017. Wilson brings a strong background in service and sales. Joseph Potter, the new vice president of training, development and safety joined Black and the leadership team in January 2018. Potter has over thirty years of experience in the industry and has been labeled by many as “the most technical guy in the industry.” National Fleet also added Daniel Rice in March of 2018 as vice president of operations. Rice brings his meticulous approach to both process and procedures and the training of future leaders within the company. Rice and Potter both have experience in opening new locations, and their toolset will bring additional abilities and insight that will help position National Fleet for a strong future, the company says.

National Fleet Management is also announced other key members to the team. Recently joining the company are: Ashley Campbell, Jesse Fox, Danny Wood, Tim Holdridge, Erica Wilson, Bill McKinney and Evan Stepansky. These new team members are already pushing hard to propel the company forward in their mission to help businesses feel in control of their vehicle maintenance and repair process so they don’t have to worry about their trucks.

Black also made a large investment in the company's computer system in the third quarter of 2017. National Fleet Management upgraded to Karmak in September 2017.

“We know there is still a lot of work to be done, but the momentum is building," Black said. "Buckle up!”
