AYES announces officers for 2017

Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) announced the officers for its 2017 Board of Directors.

  • Dave Zellers, Vice President, Service and Parts Support, Toyota, Torrance, California, will serve as Chair;
  • Vice-Chair will be Mark Miller, Global Director, Dealer Service & Warranty Operations, General Motors, Warren, Michigan.
  • Treasurer Lenora Jackson, Manager, Technical Training Operations, American Honda Motor Co., Torrance, California,
  • Secretary Tim Zilke, President/CEO, ASE, Leesburg, Virginia, and;
  • Dan Vespertino, Director, Service Technical, Subaru of America, Cherry Hill, New Jersey, serves as Past Chair.

AYES is a school-to-career process for high school automotive technology students. Its goal is to encourage quality students with a good mechanical aptitude to pursue careers in the field of automotive technology and prepare them for entry-level positions. AYES is supported with contributions from automotive manufacturers, distributors and suppliers, automotive service providers including dealers (OE) and aftermarket service retailers, industry trade/industry associations and state departments of education and labor.
