The company also announced the new Fleetrite line of filters at TMC show.

Navistar International Corp. has rolled out new steps to simplify the vehicle maintenance process and to further enhance parts availability for fleets. The company outlined the uptime initiatives on Feb. 24 during the Technology & Maintenance Council’s (TMC) annual meeting in Atlanta.

Navistar, which integrates service communications and remote diagnostics through its International 360 solution, announced the new Advanced Preventive Maintenance program. It uses real-time data from Navistar’s OnCommand Connection platform to leverage connected vehicle data to generate specific recommended preventive maintenance intervals for each vehicle in a fleet.

“Our commitment to become the No. 1 choice of our customers means we need to think differently, leverage technology and put data to work to create innovative solutions that make fleet maintenance and operation less complex,” said Friedrich Baumann, president of aftersales and alliance management. “These new initiatives are only our initial steps. We’ll continue to evolve with our customers in full support of their businesses.”

Navistar also announced its Fleetrite line of aftermarket parts introduced a new line of filters that are a direct replacement for original equipment manufacturer filters.

“The introduction of filters into our Fleetrite product offering expands our portfolio to cover one of the largest all-makes, maintenance product lines in the heavy-duty industry and allows us to reach new customer segments,” said Josef Kory, senior vice president of parts with Navistar.

Fleetrite parts are becoming more accessible with the addition of standalone retail locations to International Truck and IC Bus dealer locations. There are currently eight Fleetrite stores open with plans to develop 10 stores in 2020 and a goal of 50 locations by 2023.
