Critical Mass

Established in early 2008, EcoMotors is quickly achieving critical mass in terms of changing the landscape of internal combustion power. EcoMotors is developing high-efficiency engines — specifically the unique opoc™ (Opposed Piston Opposed Cylinder) engine — for use in cars, light trucks, marine applications, agricultural vehicles, stationary generators, etc.; essentially anywhere conventional gas or diesel power is utilized. Led by Prof. Peter Hofbauer (Founder, Chairman and Chief Technical Officer ), Don Runkle (CEO) and John Coletti (President and COO), EcoMotors is pioneering the next era of fuel efficiency and clean, affordable power.

EcoMotors has assembled a team of talented, experienced and accomplished individuals to develop and commercialize the exceptional opoc™ engine for a comprehensive array of uses. EcoMotors core leadership team has more than 230 years of collective experience in the automotive and power generation industries, and has been responsible for 150+ patents, 30+ powertrain programs and 25+ new vehicle launches. The key members of the EcoMotors leadership team are highlighted below.
