Cole Hersee, the Commercial Vehicle Products division of Littelfuse, Inc., offers the Weather-Sealed Reversing Switch No. 95060-37, constructed with engineering thermoplastic, the No. 95060-37 is sealed to IP67 standards for resistance to rough weather, roadsplash and other harsh conditions. The UL-recognized No. 95060-37 is supplied with two matching, double-bitted tumbler keys and also comes equipped with an integral Deutsch connector that provides ease of installation while maintaining the switch's weather seal. The 95060-37 provides the same three-position functionality as similar on-vehicle models: reverse, off, and forward. It is available in 10A at 12V, 5A at 24V, 3A at 36V, or 2A at 48V.
Cole Hersee offers the new Sealed Power Distribution Module No. HWB18 (PDM), a compact PDM ideal for use in space-constrained vehicle battery compartments. The 18-slot No. HWB18 accepts plug-in circuit protection components with a 280 style footprint, including Delphi MetriPack 280 terminals, cable seals and cavity plugs. The compact sealed unit measures 60 x 38 x74 mm (2.4" x1.5" x 2.9") making it a perfect fit for accessory circuits, overflow circuits from the main PDM, or as a main module on smaller vehicles. The units are sealed to IP67 standards and can be installed virtually anywhere on the vehicle.
Cole Hersee introduces a new 2+2 Fuse Holder for MINI and JCASE Fuses. This new compact holder houses two JCASE cartridge fuses and two MINI bladed fuses, which accept a broad range of fuse ratings for any type of onboard circuit, from 2A to 60A.
The FlexMod Low-Voltage Disconnect (LVD) Switches from Cole Hersee is a family of configurable electronic modules that protect batteries and battery powered equipment, ensuring that vehicles will start by controlling non-essential loads that can kill a battery. The FlexMod LVD automatically shuts down non-essential loads when the battery runs low, and automatically restores the non-essential loads when the battery power returns to normal levels.
Cole Hersee engineered the Wide Lens LED Rocker Switch with safety as a top priority. This low-current input membrane switch is compatible with microprocessor-based electrical/electronic systems and offers high visibility and durability, no matter the time of day or weather condition. The LED Rocker Switch meets the IP66 standard with the highest level of dust and high-pressure water resistance. This switch is manufactured with silver contacts and nickel-plated brass blades, and includes long-lasting LED bulbs prevent the need of bulb replacement.
Cole Hersee Company's Smart Battery Isolator 48525 and 48530 are ideal for electrical applications. The devices prevents loads on the auxiliary battery from draining the starting battery. They provide a more flexible solution than traditional isolators, as these isolators are not specific to an alternator type. Because the Smart Battery Isolator reduces charging system workload by not connecting to the auxiliary battery until the primary battery is charged to 13.2 v, there is lower strain on expensive charging components, helping to extend product life.
Cole Hersee's fully-sealed plastic ignition switches are ideal for trucking applications. The switches are constructed of durable, engineering grade plastic and are available in a variety of configurations to meet all customers’ needs, including anti-restart. The switches, which have an integral Deutsch connector and contacts sealed to IP-67, are available with or without a key boot. They are rated at 10 amp at 12-v DC and 5 amp at 24-v DC, and are tested to SAE J259 for ignition switches.
Cole Hersee's LVD (Low Voltage Disconnect) Switches are resistant to vibration and mechanical shock, and withstand contamination from moisture, dust or salt spray. They
electronically sense battery voltage and conserve starting power by disconnecting non-critical loads and by prolonging battery life by preventing battery damage due to excessive discharge. This switch is ideal for heavy duty vehicles, as well as vehicles with ancillary on-board equipment, such as snowplows, hoists, pumps, floodlights, etc., as well as in-cab amenities such as A/C.
Cole Hersee introduces its SureStart™ Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) Switch 48513. The Cole Hersee SureStart™ Low Voltage Disconnect Switch electronically senses battery voltage and conserves starting power by disconnecting non-critical loads, prolonging battery life by preventing battery damage due to excessive discharge. This switch is ideal for utility and delivery vehicles, as well as vehicles with ancillary on-board equipment, such as snowplows, hoists, pumps, floodlights, etc., as well as in-cab amenities such as A/C. The switch has a rating of 100A at 12V or 24V DC. Its service life exceeds 1,000,000 on/off cycles, and it also features a manual override that allows users to connect or disconnect the switch when needed, regardless of voltage.
The Switch also provides service personnel with an extra level of safety, protecting them from hazards, and can be locked-out or tagged-out to satisfy OSHA requirements for energy isolation. Ideal for all vehicle electrical systems, including heavy truck applications, the 75920 Master Battery Disconnect Switch cuts off all battery power from the vehicle electrical system.
