Horton's Modulator Fully Variable Fan Drive, No. RCV250, helps improve engine cooling efficiency for global applications. Coming as an integrated belt-driven fan drive of lighter, compact design, engineered to turn larger fans that require higher torque. Its variable operation reduces fan noise, increases fuel efficiency and available horsepower. Product features include an integral fan speed sensor for close-loop control and a magnetic design that speeds reaction time, which in turn increases modulation and cooling. Its reservoir, actuator and valve system design allow for faster response time and lower off-speed to maximize efficiency.
Horton's WindMaster Revolution is a high-efficiency, hybrid-flow fan that meets the airflow demand of EPA 2010, Euro VI and Tier 4 engines. Designed for compact engine compartments, the fans are available in two sizes: 550-millimeter fans for off-highway equipment and vehicles and medium duty trucks; 750-millimeter fans for heavy duty trucks and some off-highway equipment and vehicles. WindMaster Revolution fans have 20 percent greater airflow than axial-flow fans, significantly lower operating noise, greater efficiency and a similar-size inlet. Compared to radial-flow fans, the new fans have 40 percent smaller depth and a larger inlet diameter, require a significantly smaller space and do not require space for complex fan housing. Compared to mixed-flow fans, WindMasters have more than 15 percent greater airflow, 30 percent smaller depth, greater efficiency and a larger hub section that provides for more fan drive mounting options.
Horton's Arctis Two-Speed Fan Drives provide a better, more efficient engine cooling for medium duty trucks, buses, severe service vehicles, rear engine cement mixers and other on- and off-highway equipment with little to no ram air. The Arctis line provides the highest torque available from Horton - 2,700 inch-pounds. In most conditions, the fan drive is powered by eddy current, turning the fan at a lower speed, reducing operating noise and increasing available horsepower for auxiliary systems. When the vehicle needs more cooling, the fan drive springs actuate to run the fan at full input speed. Because the eddy current mode provides sufficient cooling in most operating conditions, full-speed fan operation is reduced by 85 percent which improves fuel economy. Fewer fan engagement cycles also improve fan drive, belt and tensioner reliability while minimizing radiator abrasion from dust and debris.

Horton, Inc. has expanded its Klondike Series line of products to include a replacement fan clutch and repair kits for Kysor's K26RA. This product line expansion is designed to help meet increasing market demand for replacement parts and repair kits as fleet managers keep trucks in service longer. The line extension includes Klondike 26, a rear-air replacement fan clutch for Kysor K26RA. The Klondike 26 line also features kits for repair of Kysor K26 fan clutches. They include rear-air major and seal kits; a lining kit for rear-air and front-air; and a hub bearing kit. Horton's Klondike 26 fan clutch fits most competitive applications and is easy to maintain. The Klondike 26 fan clutch is engineered to keep your vehicle running even if it fails. The clutch will engage without air pressure, keeping your engine cool until the vehicle can get serviced.

Horton has introduced the high-efficiency WindMaster Plastic HS11 Fan to meet the cooling needs of EGR engines in heavy duty trucks. The WindMaster Plastic HS11 is an eleven-blade fan available in diameters from 28 to 34 inches.
Horton announces the release of its new WindMaster Plastic MS9 Fan. The WindMaster MS9 is an aerodynamically-shaped, nine blade fan designed for Class five, six and seven truck and bus applications. WindMaster Plastic MS9 Fans are available in both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, with diameters from 22 to 30 inches. This durable, lightweight fan delivers greater airflow with improved efficiency. The hubless fan has a hexacomb pattern on the center section for improved stacking ability and reduced shipping and storage costs.
