Learn how to properly lay out the paint department of your body shop in the webinar "Keys to Productive Paint Shop Layouts presented by SATA.

This is part of the new ABRN webinar series that launched Tuesday, February 23. The series, produced in partnership with Global Finishing Solutions (GFS), will release webinars on a quarterly basis free of charge for viewers. The webinars will provide the ABRN audience with the most up-to-date technical information, helping shops more effectively run their business. Jason Garfoot, GFS’s Senior Technical Advisor, will host the series, leaning on his years as a painter and shop foreman. Jason will cover a variety of topics and will welcome industry experts to offer additional insight.

Guest Brad Gravenhof from SATA/Dan Am will answer technical questions about air lines, filtration and breathing equipment. Viewers will get in-depth looks at good & bad examples of paint department layouts and learn how to most efficiently optimize flow in their paint shops. Viewers will also learn how to calculate their production capabilities and plan for the future.

Additionally, the following topics will also be addressed in this first webinar:  

  • Determining your current maximum production capabilities
  • Identifying and remedying current and future bottlenecks
  • Working with available space
  • Equipment ideas (vacuum sanders, paint booths, lifts, side-load systems)
