MOTOR Information Systems, the leader in aftermarket information solutions for vehicles, has strengthened its services in the medium and heavy duty truck aftermarket with a soon to be released all makes medium and heavy duty truck service product.
This offering, MOTOR Truck Service, will be included as part of the company's suite of transportation product offerings for its customers.
MOTOR Truck Service has been around for about 20 years, said Patrick Seeberg, the company's director of product development for the truck group. The new, expanded version includes comprehensive truck service information, such as vehicle specifications, original equipment maintenance schedules and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) with search capability.
The new truck product not only allows MOTOR truck service customers to receive that same information, but they will also receive enhanced OE wiring diagrams with color examples and easy to trace selected circuits, leading to better diagnosis, he pointed out.
Additional new features include a new year/make/model/engine (YMME) look-up interface, improved DTC search options and quick links to key data, including the most common searches, all making it easier and faster for customers to access the information they need.
"The MOTOR Truck Service product is one of the most complete all makes truck service information sources in the market, and with the new YMME interface, DTC search and Quick Links, everyone can get what they need, faster than before," said Kevin Carr, president of MOTOR Information Systems.
The enhancements came about as the company is placing a greater emphasis on the commercial truck market, Seeberg added.
