Clearances can clear out stale inventory

Ed Nolan has given us a few sales tips so far, and if we remember his tip on selling the quick movers we will also remember that in his garage at homes he has some not-so-quick movers collecting dust. Well, Ed has figured out a way to turn the inevitably stale inventory into a revenue generator.

He does this every December and even though he takes off the week after Christmas, he says during the rest of December he normally doubles his business for the month.

"Every promotion that didn't sell (over the past year) is on sale 'cause it's inventory time. We're dealin', we're movin' stock and companies are at the end of their fiscal year, so business is good."

With twice the gross sales for the month, that well-earned week of after Christmas can be enjoyed anxiety free.
