June 10, 2009
Blair Equipment 11090 Rotabroach cutter kit is designed for sheet metal, plate and plastic materials up to ¼ inch thick.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

The Blair Equipment 11090 Rotabroach Cutter Kit contains the most popular sizes of Rotabroach sheetmetal hole cutters in 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 5/8" and 3/4" diameters.

Designed to be used in hand-held drills or drill presses, Rotabroach Cutters make holes three-times faster and last 10-times longer than twist drills or hole saws. Rotabroach Cutters cut the material rather than ripping and tearing through as conventional tools do. There is no deforming of the surface and they leave a clean, burr-free hole.

Rotabroach cutters are available in sizes 1/4" up to 1-1/2" in diameter; 13/16" and larger sizes are designed for 1/2" thick materials. These tools are design for sheet metal, plate and plastic materials up to 1/4" thick.

ORIGIN

Blair invented the Rotabroach Cutter in 1973. The idea stemmed from the Blair spotweld cutter which was invented more than 50 years ago, and is still in use today. The precise cutting angles on the teeth of the Rotabroach Cutter allowed for faster holemaking and longer tool life.

Because the user is cutting the outside ring and not turning the entire hole into chips, less horsepower is needed to make the hole. The result allows techs to drill the hole faster and with longer tool life. Because of the high quality of the hole which is made, a secondary operation of grinding down the burr on the backside of the hole isn't necessary.

SPECS
