What CMMS software can I use with GPS trackers?

Sept. 10, 2010

Q: We are installing GPS trackers on our vehicles, what CMMS software can I use to link the data recorded by these trackers (eg mileage, speed etc) to my maintenance program?

A: Thank you for the question. I am not sure what you are utilizing for a maintenance tracking program now or if presently utilizing a CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) program. If so I am not sure if it is compatible with the GPS system you chose. Many GPS brands are compatible with many CMMS systems and the required data links or web based links are offered by the CMMS suppliers.

If you presently are not running a CMMS system and may be shopping for one please review the warnings and advice given here.

Hope this helps.
