Daimler Trucks North America to host Network Aftermarket Conference

The conference will provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss the changing aftermarket industry and evolving customer needs.

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has announced its third biennial aftermarket conference - Evolution, which will be held in Washington, D.C., from October 12 to 13, 2016. The conference will provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss the changing aftermarket industry and evolving customer needs. 

Close to 2,000 dealers, distributors, vendors and suppliers for Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses, Detroit and Freightliner Custom Chassis are expected to attend.

Attendees will participate in roundtable discussions, panel interviews, a vendor trade show and listen to presentations on topics surrounding customer service, partnership, market sustainability and continuous improvement. Participants will explore how the integration of continuous improvement culture, innovative tools, products and supply chain enhance the customer experience. Customer expectations have been expanding overtime. The conference will emphasize how the investments from DTNA and partnership with the network will increase customer uptime.

Dallas Seavey, a four-time champion and current record holder for the 1,000-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race across the state of Alaska, will kick off the conference with a keynote presentation on remaining a champion through constant evolution.  At the age of 25, Seavey was the youngest competitor to win the Iditarod, and he won the race three additional times, in 2014, 2015 and in 2016 making him only the seventh person in history to win the race three or more times. He also won the Yukon Quest on his first attempt, making him one of only six people to ever hold a title in both races. For him, winning means continuallyevolving his strategy; something that applies not only in the Iditarod but also in business.
