AAPEXedu 2017 will cover new technologies

Expert speakers will cover topics including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, connected vehicles and new mobility.

The AAPEXedu 2017 Technology track will focus on the many new and emerging technologies in vehicles and how they will impact businesses in the automotive aftermarket industry. AAPEX represents the $740 billion global automotive aftermarket industry and will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31 through Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

Expert speakers will cover several topics, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), connected vehicles, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) and new mobility models, as well as the trends impacting the automotive aftermarket. AAPEXedu 2017 technology sessions will include:

• Advanced Vehicle Technologies,

• Megatrends in the Connected Car and Mobility Age,

 • Update on Technology Standards,

• Disruptive Technologies and Transportation, Are We Ready?

• Technology and Telematics Forum 5.0 Powered by CARS and ASA,

• ACES and PIES Overview (Spanish),

• Future Power: Battery & Start/Stop Technology,

• Leveraging Technology to Streamline Diagnosis and Repair,

• Shop Technology Timeline: Where is Your Shop on the Timeline?

• Trucking Technologies: Threats and Opportunities for Service.

In addition, AAPEXedu will feature a keynote session on Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on The Future of the Vehicle: The Future of Mobility and the Aftermarket, and a Service Professionals Summit on Nov. 2, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Emerging Technology - How will the Aftermarket Prepare?

The Technology track is one of eight tracks in this year’s AAPEXedu. Other tracks include Business Management, Industry Trends, Service Professionals, Import/Export, Heavy Duty, Young Professionals and Paint and Body. All 50-plus AAPEXedu sessions are included in AAPEX registration.
