Diesel Emission Service (DES) is excited to announce the launch of its new location in Portland, Ore.  Located at 9861 North Vancouver Way, it is conveniently located up the street from the Jubitz Truck Stop. Its Portland location will serve as a retail and service location for all diesel particulate filter (DPF) needs. DES Portland is the newest Diesel Emissions Service location on the I-5 corridor, which extends as far south as Ontario, Calif.

Portland has an estimated 80,000 Class 5 or higher diesel trucks that pass through it each day. A large number of these trucks travel to and from California, and are required to comply to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations for diesel engines. These regulations require that all diesel engines older than 2007 be retrofitted with a DPF system. All 2007 or newer engines already have a DPF system from the factory. As part of the annual maintenance requirements for these DPFs, truck operators need a reliable source for DPF knowledge and support. Since 2007, DES has installed over 10,000 retrofit devices. For customers with a 2007 or newer vehicle, the company carries Durafit Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Replacements by CDTI.

The DES Portland location specializes in DPF cleaning. Two Filtertherm high capacity thermal ovens and two Donaldson pulse machines are utilized. DES uses Filtertrak, the company's custom software application to track the customer’s DPF service records. Filtertrak also gives the company the ability to email pictures, pre and post weights, and technician’s notes for any service performed at a DES location or DES Service Partner Network provider location. This tracking capability will help in the event of a warranty situation, assist in identifying engine trends, and streamlines a fleet manager’s record keeping.  DES Portland offers a pick-up service for filters.
